Florida rapper Julio Foolio believed dead, 3 injured in shooting at Tampa Holiday Inn

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida rapper Julio Foolio was killed early Sunday morning in a shooting at a Tampa Holiday Inn, according to numerous sources.

Tampa police said the shooting took place at about 4:40 a.m. in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn at the intersection of Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive.

According to Joneé Lewis, the Tampa Police Department's public relations officer, "two cars were shot at, and this is early in the investigation."

Lewis reported that three more gunshot patients were transported to nearby hospitals, but one person died at the site. According to authorities, the deceased individual was thought to be a 26-year-old guy named Charles Jones, but the medical examiner has not yet released a definitive identification.

According to investigators, at the time of the incident, the victims were at the hotel attempting to check into a room.

"It appears that they will be able to overcome their wounds," she stated.
According to Lewis, the police are watching security footage to get additional details about the incident. They assist in directing hotel guests around the area as well.

There have not yet been any arrests made. Officers are searching for more footage in order to recognise any possible suspects.

Julio Foolio's legal name is Charles Jones. Although the relationship has not been officially confirmed by the police, Blanco Mani, the 26-year-old rapper's girlfriend, announced the news of his passing on his now-private Instagram. She posted a picture of him from that evening and claimed he passed away after celebrating his birthday in Tampa.

Before cops forced him to leave, the rapper's Instagram story revealed that he was having a pool party at an AirBnB in Tampa to celebrate his birthday.
